After a flurry of mixtapes released during the 2010-2012 season, Richmond, California-based rapper and producer Iamsu hit in 2013 with the single “Let Go.” Born Sudan Ahmeer Williams, the rapper kicked off his career in 2010 under the name Su.

In 2011 he joined 50 Cent and LoveRance on the hit single “Up,” while 2012 saw him decide to monetize his previously free work, moving all his mixtapes to download services. Wiz Khalifa, Juvenile, and frequent collaborator Problem joined as special guests on his 2012 mixtape Suzy 6 Speed, while 2013 saw him return to the world of underground and free with the mixtape Kilt II.

The single “Let Go” dropped later that year with guest vocalist Tank. Plans for a debut album entitled Sincerely Yours were announced in early 2014, and April of that year saw the release of the album. The leadoff single from the album, “Only That Real,” featured guest spots from Sage the Gemini and 2 Chainz. Pre-order the project and peep the tracklist HERE!

Iamsu!: ‘Don’t Stop’ Video Premiere!

Iamsu
Watch the “Don’t Stop” video, In the video, directed by Chris Simmons and premiered today by Stereogum, Iamsu!’s natural camera appeal is highlighted by an arsenal of cinematic techniques as Su kicks it with some friends – and models – at a local studio. The straightforward but effective clip works well with the song’s blipping, bass-heavy track, a fun song that does well to show off why Stereogum called Su “the most consistent artist working the spacious, club-friendly West Coast ratchet music sound.”

The Bay Area has long been credited with creating new trends in music and although attention has been pulled away after the Hyphy movement seemingly died down the collective known, as Fly Street Gang are here to bring the music industry back to the Bay Area.

Fly Street Gang was created in the rough streets of East Oakland and consists of members Tah MF, Young Phantom, and Jay West. Each member of the group has enjoyed success as solo artists and like any other super group can hold their own on a track. After bursting onto the Bay Area music scene in 2006 Fly Street Gang began a tireless campaign of networking and recording, which led to their release of their first mix tape “Guns and Rose Gold.” Following the release of “Guns and Rose Gold” Fly Street Gang released “Fly NonStop” which boasts over 100,000 downloads. These mix tapes combined with a marketing push both online and across the United States has led to Fly Street having three of their songs not only featured on the legendary Radio Station 106 KMEL but also seeing their singles featured on such notable websites as; HotnewHipHop, GlobalGrind, Worldstarhiphop and Allhiphop.com.
