Mobb Deep: ‘The Infamous Mobb Deep’ (Album Cover)

First it was Nas, but now it’s also Mobb Deep celebrating their 20th anniversary of their sophomore album The Infamous a year early this year with the release of the double disc CD The Infamous Mobb Deep. The first installment CD will feature all new material while the other one will contain unreleased tracks from The Infamous sessions featuring never heard before collaborations with Ghostface, Nas, Raekwon and more. There will also be a super deluxe album which will include the re-mastered copy of the 1995 album and a documentary produced by Red Bull.

It has been confirmed that Hip Hop legend Nas will be the honoree at Vibe Magazine’s second annual Impact Awards. The honor comes at a fitting time as the Grammy Award-nominated rapper celebrates the 20th anniversary of his groundbreaking debut album “Illmatic”, which Vibe editor in chief Jermaine Hall describes in a statement as “arguably Hip-Hop’s most flawless piece of work. Nas’ ability to clearly capture his surroundings in song is a special talent.
