Shane Hoosong feat. Shaggy – LOUD

As an Artist, Producer, and DJ, this Newark, NJ native is a solid triple threat. Breaking new ground as an innovator in the pop-influenced dance hall/reggae scene, Shane has been making music for over 10 years. Born to a Jamaican mother and Chinese/ Jamaican father, Shane was exposed to some of the most expressive and creative music in the world. After converting the basement in his home into a studio, he spent most of his formative years focused on a hobby that kept him out of trouble and eventually cultivated into a career. Today, Shane’s burgeoning career as an artist and producer has led to the development of his production company, Chiney Boy Productions LLC.

Audio: Talib Kweli feat. Rick Ross & Yummy Bingham

“When I was on Rawkus, there was a guy working there named Headqcouterz, a good friend of DJ Premier, who’s spirit was so beautiful that he would brighten any room he would enter. He lost his life years ago, but there was one thing he used to say each and every time he said goodbye – Heads Up, Eyes Open. This phrase has stuck with me and become a guide thru my career and life. Produced by J. Rhodes, Heads Up, Eyes Open is a song dedicated to the memory of Headqcourterz. It is a song about how faith informs the way an artist moves and creates. It was a pleasure to be joined by Rick Ross and Yummy Bingham, two of my favorite artists.” – Talib Kweli

Brooke Valentine – NOW

She might currently be starring on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, but it’s been quite some time since we’ve heard from Brooke Valentine musically. The “Girlfight” singer, who first burst onto the scene with the rowdy 2005 track, seems to have dropped her fighting ways and turned into more of a lover — at least that what her new single “Now” indicates. “Now” finds Miss Valentine bedroom-focused, ready, willing and able. To illustrate just how ready she is, the songstress turns to a Timbaland-esque beat that stutters, stops, ebbs and flows seductively. It’s a groove primed for coaxing her man into her waiting arms, an opportunity Brooke takes with pleasure. “Don’t tell me you don’t wanna see me with anyone else / When you know you wanna claim this for yourself,” she sings breathily. She continues singing enticing sweet nothings before dropping any pretense on the fbridge, singing, “Whatever you wanna do/Leaving it all to you/Say the word, I’m so ready.” Her desire is barely held back in her vocal delivery, with her honeyed tone mingling with swirling vocoder to create an intoxicating effect that you won’t soon forget. “Now” doesn’t come attached to the announcement of a new project, but with her star back on the rise, we’re sure something new will be coming from Brooke Valentine’s way sooner rather than later. Until then, enjoy “Now” when you press play.

iPhone X

Our vision has always been to create an iPhone that is entirely screen. One so immersive the device itself disappears into the experience. And so intelligent it can respond to a tap, your voice, and even a glance. With iPhone X, that vision is now a reality. Say hello to the future.
