Introducing Snoh Aalegra, Hailing from Sweden, the Persian songstress conjures up a different kind of soul. It’s a fusion between rapturous No I.D. hip-hop production, an ethereal electronic haze, and alternative energy. Ultimately, it’s as fresh as music gets these days, and that’s why Snoh will undoubtedly ascend to the forefront of pop culture very soon.
Her debut digital EP, There Will Be Sunshine, lands on November 17, but she’s already unveiled the seductively infectious single “Bad Things”. With a Common feature, it’s poetically engaging as she claims, “I do bad things to good versions of me. I find good things in bad versions of me. I don’t know. It’s just versions of me”. In between verses from the Chicago rap titan, it’s even more evocative and entrancing. The remix has Killer Mike, mind you, and it’s just as impactful, especially just before a guitar lead starts wailing. “There Will Be Sunshine” EP is available at iTunes:
