The sultry sounds of the talented and revitalized Tweet will resume its “humm” into R&B February 26th. Reawakening the genre and staking her claim within the year of the Comeback, Tweet is ready to be heard. Like a boxer, she’s coming out swinging with her powerful ballad Enough, talking directly to the ladies and letting them know that its okay to let go. Deemed “the sickest artist with a pen” by Missy Elliott, Tweet prepares to re-enter the music world with Fire and Grace. Her strong belief in God has allowed her to stay grounded, be a great support to her family and has propelled her to the top, spiritually and mentally, now back to the music. Despite her hiatus, she has always lent her ear to what is out and kept a pen in hand.



Her voice — powerful at times, soft at others — is the focal point of the EP as it glides over songs and adapts to the different beats, which include soul (“Day Dreaming”) and contemporary R&B (“Enough”). “Sorry” reminiscent of Al Green belts out how easily she could just be gone, while enacting a feeling of empowerment in the imagery of the closing door. While each track begins to invade your soul, you’re reminded what real R&B used to be and understand why she’s needed and the time is now.

In March 2002, Tweet entered the charts with her debut solo single, “Oops (Oh My)”, a risqué song about self-loving and appreciation. The song was produced by Timbaland and featured guest vocals by Missy Elliott. The single hit number one on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and number seven on the Billboard Hot 100, with the help of a remix featuring Fabolous. In April 2002, Tweet released her debut album Southern Hummingbird to mostly strong reviews. The album featured production by Craig Brockman, Nisan Stewart, guitarist John “Jubu” Smith, Timbaland (who contributed four tracks) and Tweet herself. It also featured guest vocals by Elliott on “Oops (Oh My)”,Bilal on “Best Friend”, and BeatClub Records’ Ms. Jade on “Sexual Healing (Oops Pt. 2)”, and included a bonus track performed by Elliott, “Big Spender”. The album was filled with soul-stirring vocals and lyrics taken from Tweet’s own life experiences. The album spawned another two singles, Timbaland-produced “Call Me”, and the radio single “Smoking Cigarettes”, which had a video shot and directed by Little X but was never released. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart

Ken Rings nya album släpps i april

Ken Rings, redan omtalade, kommande album “Akustiken” har äntligen fått ett releasedatum – 5 April. “Akustiken” är Kens elfte album i ordningen, hans första på etiketten Svenska inspelningar och andra för Universal Music.



Ljudbilden på “Akustiken” skiljer sig väldigt mycket från Kens tidigare album då han denna gång valt att jobba helt och hållet med livemusiker och låtit samplings-baserade beats stå tillbaka för framförallt piano och stråkar. Textmässigt renodlar Ken Ring sin mer känslosamma, eftertänksamma och betraktande sida som gett oss många av rap-legendarens starkaste texter.

Ken har arbetat nära producenten Jesper Welander under hela inspelningen av plattan som dessutom gästas av celebriteter som Marit Bergman, Million Stylez och jamaicanske reggaesångaren Lutan Fyah.

Två singlar från albumet är redan ute – “Poverty” och “Själen av en vän”, som Ken framträdde med i SVTs “Moreaus Med Mera” i höstas och som blev hans första guld-singel sedan hitsen “Mamma” och “Eld och djupa vatten”. Inom kort släpps en tredje singel.

Ken ger sig även ut på turné i samband med skivan – helt tillägnad de nya låtarna från “Akustiken” – och på releasedagen 5 April spelar han på Södra Teatern i Stockholm inför sittande publik.

Lil Jon teams up with Zumba Fitness

Zumba Fitness has teamed up with Lil Jon to launch the first ever Zumba Nightclub Series tour. Inspired by the global trend of hosting Zumba classes in nightclubs, the tour features classes led by instructor Gina Grant and music provided by DJ Lil Jon. In addition, the music star has recorded his latest song Work, especially for Zumba. He comments, ‘Zumba fans hit me up all the time tellin’ me how my songs and voice motivate them to get them through their workout. Now we’re helping to bring the Zumba experience to the nightclub scene. I’m excited to DJ this tour and give Zumba fans a fitness party they’ll never forget!’

Avicii släpper unikt samarbete med sina fans

Den internationella framgångssagan, DJn och producenten Avicii, alias Tim Berling, lanserar idag ”X You”, resultatet av världens största musiksamarbete. Avicii-fans världen över bjöds in för att hjälpa till att skapa hans nästa singel. Projektet pågick under nästan sju veckor och Avicii fick under denna tid in cirka 13 000 bidrag från mer än 4 000 personer från över 140 länder, som inkluderade nationer som Island, Venezuela, Australien och Thailand. Avicii valde varje vecka ut semifinalister och fansen fick rösta fram de ljud och beats som Avicii sedan använde för att skapa den slutgiltiga låten i sin studio i Los Angeles.

Låten finns tillgänglig på http://www.aviciixyou.com och med start den 27 februari kommer den att spridas via olika digitala plattformar, t.ex. Spotify, iTunes och VEVO. Bortsett från Avicii som varit exekutiv producent, inkluderar låten producentinsatser från Kian Sang, Naxsy DJ-Compositeur, Martin Kupilas och ВAНЯ ХАКСИ.
