2 Chainz — BOATS II: Me Time (Album)

2 Chainz’s ‘BOATS II: Me Time’ album title has been announced. The release date for Tity Boi’s sophomore major solo LP has been set for September 10th. He broke the news via Twitter:

The project includes the lead single, ‘Feds Watching’ featuring Pharrell. You can check out that track at the bottom of the page if you haven’t heard it already. He premiered the track at Hot 97′s Summer Jam (during his performance) and the official video was recently filmed. So, be on the lookout for that to drop soon.

This record follows his debut, ‘Based On A TRU Story’, which hit stores last August. The project, which debuted at No. 1 and was nominated for a Grammy, includes ‘No Lie’ featuring Drake, ‘I’m Different’, and ‘Birthday Song’ with Kanye West. No details on the LP, its tracklisting, cover artwork

Pusha T: ‘Who I Am’ (feat. Big Sean & 2 Chainz)

Check out the latest single from Pusha T’s debut My Name Is My Name, courtesy Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex, “Who I Am,” an ode to being yourself if yourself is as awesome as Pusha T. He gets some help from some G.O.O.D. Music mates, Big Sean and 2 Chainz, and production assistance from Million $ Mano and Kanye West. There are a few tags on this radio rip, but check it out regardless – it’s definitely less radio-friendly than “Mercy,” but that swarming beat and catchy chorus are pretty great. My Name Is My Name is out July 16.

2 Chainz rånad under pistolhot i San Francisco

2 Chainz uppträdde på 106 KMEL Summer Jam på Oracle Arena i Oakland, Kalifornien igår kväll, men inte innan han hamnade i lite trubbel. Han blev rånad under pistolhot i San Francisco och enligt polisen, flydde hans följe scenen och sprang som “cockroaches running from a flashlight” när händelsen inträffade.

Enligt TMZ berättar Polisen att de svarade på ett samtal om “skottlossning” runt 4.30 PM men Polisen håller fortfarande på reda ut exakt vad som hände. De hävdar också att Tity Boi var inte alltför samarbetsvillig med undersökningarna och ville hantera situationen själv.
